The European Consumer Centre is reminding the public that they have rights if goods they purchased online prior to Christmas have still not been delivered.

Recent complaints from Irish consumers have revealed several problems with gifts bought for Christmas or in sales, including delayed delivery, not being delivered at all, faulty goods or difficulties getting a refund.

Affected consumers can contact their bank to avail of chargeback if they paid by card or contact ECC Ireland if the trader is based elsewhere in the EU.

Martina Nee of the European Consumer Centre in Dublin says consumers who have paid up but have not received their goods need to be persistent with such traders.
