Tomorrow (Friday) is the deadline for organisations to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation - or GDPR.

Under GDPR, if someone wants to offer an internet service in exchange for your data, they must get your permission in advance.

This regulation will provide greater protection for the data of 500 million citizens across the European Union.

Grace Bolton who is Head of Press with the EU Commission in Ireland says companies and institutions cannot use your personal information without your consent after tomorrow.
