80% of Irish people believe the Common Agricultural Policy is honouring its commitment in providing safe, high quality, healthy food.

That's the highest satisfaction rating in Europe with CAP according to a Eurobarometer survey.

This contrasts with an EU average of 64% and 38% in France.

Grace Bolton of the European Commission office in Ireland says that half of those surveyed think farmers should get more financial help from CAP over the next ten years.
