Farmers are invited to have their say on the Common Agricultural Policy at a special event in Kilkenny City tonight (Friday).

The free event, at O'Loughlin Gaels GAA Club in Newpark, will discuss how CAP 2020 can work best for Irish people in the agri-food sector.

Commencing at 7 pm, speakers will include EU Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan and IFA President Joe Healy. 

Gerry Kiely of the EU Commission Representation in Ireland says this is a special opportunity for farmers to be informed on the many benefits of CAP 2020.
