One in three Irish people never exercise or engage in sport, according to new figures.

The statistics from Eurobarometer show that 35 per cent of Irish people spend over five a half hours sitting every day.

Grace Bolton is press officer with the EU Commission representation in Dublin.

She says despite the Irish figures, we are not the worst in Europe.
