The European Consumer Centre is advising the public that they have certain rights under EU law if their flights are delayed or cancelled as a result of bad weather in the coming days.

It says airlines are obliged to provide re-routing to passengers' final destinations as soon as possible, or a refund.

Martina Nee is Communications Manager with ECC Ireland.

She says delayed airline passengers have a number of rights when weather delays scheduled flights.
